Question:
When you first started blogging, who was your first follower, and do they still follow you?
For me, it was Matter Of Fact Mommy. She left my very first comment, too. It basically said she figured I'd sober up and decide not to start a blog. Feel the love. For those of you in the loop, yes, she still follows, but can't always comment. However, we do email each other.
(She's invitation only. If you want to get on board, email her at matteroffactmommy@yahoo.com. You'll need to submit a photo, answer a few simple questions, and give a DNA sample. It's as easy as that. And worth it.)

Hmmm....I forgot who the first one was, but the first three were rkintn, Daisy or TotalBlammBlamm.
I think it was my friend CK, who rarely reads it anymore now that I let my true freak flag wave. I scared her good! But, we're still friends... she just chooses to ignore my boob-loving wine-guzzling tendencies.
You'd think it was MALA, as she was my first commenter/regular reader for sure... but she was late to the whole following party! In fact, I think I had to follow myself while logged in as her to get her do to it. HEE!

I'm about at the 6 month mark. My friend Stephen, who, for 3 whole weeks more will also be a coworker, was my first Follower. He travels a lot and posts lovely pictures on his own site, but is aparently too lazy to comment on my blog anymore. Instead he sends me emails at work telling me he really liked a post and what a good writer I am. I can't help but feel a little disappointed.
*sigh*
maybe once I move he will be "forced" to comment again! :)
Dena was one of my first followers! Susan in the Psych Ward was THE first and I know that she will follow me to the very end. (b/c otherwise I know where she lives and I will stalk her)

Since I'm on lame ass Typepad, I'm not sure who follows me. I do know my first comment was from my BFF Shirley. Frank, Bev and Samsmama have started commenting pretty regularly..which is totally awesome! Also, Samsmama did declare she was a stalker so I have officially named her my FIRST stalker lol
I try to keep up with who's who with my sitemeter but that's alot of work and I don't always mess with it.

Side note - I curse Google's name for this freaking follow stuff. It hosed my Reader up but good for a while there. It doesn't help that I'm too lazy to figure out WTF to do to fix it.

i started my blog in 2007, before the following thing, so i'll have to think about this one. i had a shit-ton of lurkers there for a while, but they can't get to me anymore without leaving a blood sample and thumbprint... will have to think about this one for a while...
Mine was Supercynic. Then he got all famous and haughty and changed his name to The Daily Wit. I still miss the Bigfoot avatar too.
As for MOFM, I hope you don't mind a stranger saying (a) what a great marketing technique--the mystery of what's going on behind the curtain makes those of us outside really want to know and (2) it's hard enough for me to join in on a new blog with open invitations much less having to ask permission. I'm having flashbacks to high school (and my early 30's) where the possibility of the humiliation of getting shot down had to be weighed against the potential benefit of success. The bodily fluids requirement is not that big of a deal tho
@travellinbaen-- please to ignore samsmama. believe me, it ain't that great. except you really should read what i just posted about MY first follower, except it was a COMMENTER because following didn't happen waaay back when i started my blogger blog. oh, and as far as missing avatars, there was a serious revolt when i changed my avatar from Random, Angry Woman in Curlers to a real picture of me. MEH!
I had my first blog back in the dark ages of 2002, when we were calling them journals. The site died, so it doesn't exist anymore, but I still have "friends" from there.

I think that the only blog I'm listed as a "Follower" is LOTD, and, like Steph said, it kinda messes with your Google reader. I use RSS to keep up with the myriad of other blogs I follow.
I don't remove myself from the Follow list (but keep the RSS feed) on LOTD because I've seen how upset Cary gets when he loses Followers. :-)
